GEMSEO Training May 2026

How can you optimize the design of industrial systems while managing multidisciplinary interactions? To address this challenge, IRT Saint Exupéry is offering two training sessions this coming May. The first one is about MDO and the second one about GEMSEO.

Sessions

MDO Training: Introduction & Concepts

  • Date: Monday, May 4 (1 day – 7 hours)
  • Program:

    • Introduction to MDO approaches: motivation and solutions.
    • Formal definition of an MDO problem.
    • Overview of the various formulations for solving MDO problems.
    • Introduction to the general principles of numerical optimization.
    • Hands-on workshop using a toy problem.
  • Audience: General (technical and managerial) – No prerequisites.

  • Objective: Understand the challenges of multidisciplinary optimization, formally define an MDO problem, and explore solution strategies through a practical case study.
  • Fees: €600 excl. tax (Full price) | €400 excl. tax (PhD students)
  • Format: Remote (via Microsoft Teams).
  • Number of spots: Limited (4 to 12 people) to ensure quality discussions.

GEMSEO Training: Master the Python Library

  • Date: Tuesday, May 5 to Thursday, May 7 (3 days)
  • Program:

    • Overview of GEMSEO and basic concepts.
    • Integrating an executable with GEMSEO.
    • Solving a coupled multidisciplinary system (MDA).
    • Creating and solving an optimization problem, generating a design of experiments (DoE).
    • Overview of the main post-processing algorithms (optimization and DoE).
    • Creating and solving a multidisciplinary optimization scenario.
    • Building a surrogate model from a GEMSEO discipline.
    • Quantify and manage uncertainties in a multidisciplinary system.
  • Audience: Technical professionals.

  • Objective: Become proficient with the GEMSEO Python library to automate and reconfigure your optimization and analysis processes.
  • Pricing: €1,800 excl. tax (Full price) | €1,200 excl. tax (PhD students)
  • Format: Remote (via Microsoft Teams).
  • Number of spots: Limited (4 to 12 people) to ensure high-quality interactions.
